Magical Apple Hibachi
Acrylic on Canvas
I get asked about WHY I painted this all of the time. When I moved into my first apartment I was given a Hibachi Grill as a housewarming gift. It was beautiful- shiny, and red, and bearing a strong resemblance of to a juicy delicious apple. Then I had an idea to paint on a cute little worm, and convert the handle into a little leaf to make it look perfect.. until I realized that acrylic paint has a low heat tolerance and would in no way survive on a grill. So... my friend suggested I just paint a hibachi on canvas to get it out of my system.Oddly, this Hibachi looks nothing like an apple, nor is it red. It also has no legs. It's a floating magical Hibachi.
